The author Fireplace Collins, whose books enjoyed great commercial success although the first book was censored in many countries due to the erotic content, has died in California at age 77, her family announced.
"He lived a wonderfully lively and adored by her family, friends and millions of readers for more than four decades," wrote her family in a statement, adding that the author was suffering from breast cancer for more than six years.
"It was a true inspiration, a pioneer of women in the field of imagination and a creative force. He will continue to live through the characters of the books, but already we miss terribly, "added the statement signed by three daughters Tracy, Tiffany and Rory.
