Syria: The opposition blames government forces for "slaughter" of civilians in Aleppo
The forces of the Syrian government, backed by Russian air raids, today committed a "massacre" of numerous civilians around Aleppo, told reporters via teleconference coordinator opposition Riyadh Hijab, while the Russian army announced its decision to open bases in Syria for storing international humanitarian aid intended for civilians to diekolythei distribution in the territory.
The Riad Hijab said the latest fighting, which violate the truce that lasts two weeks, and arrests by the Syrian government forces carry out, make the opposition to consider whether they should participate in a round of peace talks in Geneva.
"The decision will be taken before the end of this week, there will be a clear decision on this," said Hijab.
Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry announced today that it is ready to "provide all necessary assistance to foreign and international organizations to transport humanitarian cargo to Syria".
In this context, Moscow expects to open its naval facilities in Tartus and the military airport of the Chmeimim in the province of Latakia, for "unloading and temporary storage" of humanitarian aid.
Russia is also ready to provide vehicles to help transport aid to the Syrian territory, according to the statement.
