C. Stoltenberg: NATO is taking action in the territorial waters of Greece and Turkey


NATO has developed today ships in Greek and in Turkish territorial waters to tackle illegal networks traffickers migrants heading to Europe, said General Secretary of the North Atlantic Treaty Jens Stoltenberg, underlining that allayed the concerns of both the Athens and Ankara.

"We extend our cooperation with FRONTEX and increasing the number of ships we develop," he said, adding that France and Britain agreed to send warships to the Sea.

Germany is leading the NATO mission agreed on February 11. The mission also involved ships of Greece, Turkey and Canada. Until now, the vessels of the North Atlantic sailing in international waters.
