In France 150 refugees who passed through Greece
Around 150 refugees crossed the logging centers in Greece arrive today in France under the European program of redistribution of asylum seekers, Interior Minister Bernard Kaznev announced today in an article published in liberation.fr.
"France is the country that has had so far the largest number of refugees relocated: 152 among those arriving today, March 7, in France from Greece and will be accommodated in reception centers set up for asylum seekers in different regions of the country" said Kaznev.
The arrivals are increasing to almost 300 the total number of people receiving France under the European reallocation program (ie migration) adopted last summer. The first, Eritreans, absorbed in November.
This time, chiefly Syrians and Iraqis, with about 20 families and some individual men, clarified the Interior Ministry. The refugees expected after arrival be transferred to centers for asylum seekers who are scattered in France.
France has committed to accept 30,000 refugees in two years --A commitment reiterated by President Francois Hollande, according to the Athens Press Agency.
With 300 refugees have received so far, France is first on the list of European countries admission and Finland followed with 150 people. Bernard Kaznev attributed the downturn at the start of the reception procedure in the fact that "the host system and the redistribution of refugees in 'hot sports' (quotation centers) still works poorly."
Interior Minister rejected the idea that France is not "attractive" as a destination or that a "deliberate unwillingness" on the part of France.
And reiterated that the demolition of the slum of Calais, where crowding thousands of immigrants who want to reach the Kingdom, "has no other aim than to accommodate people who are in great distress, exposed to cold, living in the mud and are targeted violence passers ".
