The EC recognizes Turkey's contribution to the refugee, but calls for reforms in the rule of law
The EU-Turkey agreement on migration should not be linked to the accession negotiation process of the country, supported by the EP in a resolution Thursday. "We express our concern at the escalation of violence in the southeast of Turkey, which has led some 400,000 people to flee their homes," she said.
"The award of the refugee crisis in Turkey is not a reliable long-term solution to the problem", stresses the text of the resolution, adding that "safe and legal avenues must be created for refugees and asylum seekers."

"
The EC underlines that "non-settlement of the Cyprus issue affects the development of EU-Turkey relations" and invites all interested parties to make efforts to solve it.
