Revolt in Alabama prison


Rebellion broke out in a prison in southern Alabama, today informed the authorities, while an informational site reported that the prisoners fired and turned over their beds.

One official who did not wish to be named by the Office of County Sheriff Eskampia confirmed the riots that occurred in prisons Holmes in Atmore, approximately 80 kilometers north of Mobile, but gave no more details about the situation that has developed.

"I do not answer phone calls," said a woman who answered the phone in prison. Then the closed abruptly.
The informative website Al.com published photos and a video which allegedly shows the prisoners to light fires and move freely inside the prison. Many have covered their faces with white towels in the video and the pictures seem recorded a prisoner.

"Please pray for my son in prison Holmes ..." wrote Zanias Houston on Facebook, said the son Tzamario.

The Al.com relayed a posting on Facebook stating that prisoners are struggling for their lives.

"The police there continued beating us and simply threaten us in any way," he noted in the post, which the Reuters news agency is unable to cross.

"Please contact the news, newspapers, radio stations ... you please help us."
The prison capacity store 1,031 beds is the only place in Alabama where executions.
