Kerry: The Islamic State commit genocide

The parliamentarians had given to date deadline in the US State Department to confirm whether the US government considers the violent persecution of religious minorities as crimes against humanity and genocide.
A spokesman for the Foreign Ministry said yesterday that Kerry will not manage to communicate its decision within the deadline, given the volume of documents that were to elaborate, but the head of American diplomacy finally complied with the timetable set by the Congress.
As the Reuters news agency, although the genocide allegations could make it easier for the US to argue in favor of taking greater action against the organization, obliges Washington legally do more.
"We may strengthen our position to persuade other countries to help. May relieve us from some (legal) restrictions, but the truth is that when you fight some do not need any more reason to fight them, "noted Jon Alterman, director of the program for the Middle East for Strategic and International Studies.
