France: 24-hour general strike and demonstrations for reforms in labor



Faced with a 24-hour general strike and demonstrations against the proposed labor reform is France today, with the socialist government in Paris, hope to prevent any escalation of protests by students. The student organizations have the ex alongside hardcore trade unions calling a protest day against the Law on reforms in labor relations promoted by the Labour Minister, Miriam El Komri in an attempt to reduce unemployment, which has exceeded 10% .

So, are scheduled for today about 144 demonstrations across the country, according to data of the unions and the state railways (SNCF) expect long delays and interruptions in the services, with emphasis on the region around Paris. Also expected to be influenced and the Eurostar services between Paris, London and Brussels.
