Albania: Tension in anti-government protest
Massive and militant protest against the government of socialist Prime Minister Edi Rama, held today by the opposition in Tirana, on the occasion of 25 years since the collapse of the Communist regime.
The rally, organized by the Democratic Party, the largest opposition party, marked by attacks on demonstrators ministries and the destruction of a under construction Bunker that will symbolize the atrocities of the Hoxha regime. Protesters broke windows and caused damage to buildings ministries, without however the incidents be generalized.
The Democratic Party asks for the removal of the government which he accuses of corruption and considers "violence against civilians," the harsh measures against tax evasion has received and which provide for imprisonment of up to five years for those who do not cut the receipts.
