Mexico: Ten killed in gang clashes
At least ten people, among whom was a child, were killed in crossfire during a gang conflict in southern Mexico, as it became known on Monday by local police authorities.
A 12 year old child included the victims of this armed conflict that broke out Sunday night in the town Kouachinikouilapa, in the state of Guerrero, said a source who requested anonymity it. Seven other people were injured.
According to the same source, for unknown reasons two rival gangs clashed together.
The injured were taken to a local hospital while the corpses of some victims "were removed from their families just before they reach the police in the region."
Among the dead are a female.
In the State of Guerrero are frequent clashes between rival gangs competing for control of the drug trade.
