Afghanistan: British helicopter crash with five dead
Five members of the international NATO support mission in Afghanistan were killed and five wounded when a British military helicopter crashed in the capital Kabul.
The British Ministry of Defense's website announced that two members of the Royal Air Force were killed when a British helicopter Puma Mk 2 crashed and landed at the base.
"The incident is under an exploration, but we can confirm that it was an accident and not the result of warfare," refers to information from London, while expecting clarification from NATO headquarters.
The NATO's military operations in Afghanistan are over but some 12,000 soldiers, mostly Americans, remain in the country with the mission to train Afghan security forces.
