The homemade food is the best weapon in the battle against diabetes
Often we talk about how good it makes eating homemade food. We do not only eat well, and we know what foods we eat and how many calories contain, but help us to not display the passage of time various diseases.
New studies however have found that the more we eat home cooking so reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes, which is known largely due to our lifestyle and diet.
The studies were conducted by scientists at Harvard in Boston, Massachusetts and was presented in the Scientific Sessions of the American Heart Association in Orlando, Florida.
Experts in the study «Nurses' Health Study» analyzed data from nearly 58,000 women in the Health Professionals Follow-up studies analyzed data on more than 41,000 men. The monitoring lasted 26 years and none of the participants had diabetes, cardiovascular disease or cancer at the start of the studies. The information was not sufficiently comprehensive to include breakfast patterns in the study.
However, experts have observed that people who consumed at least two homemade lunches or dinners daily, or about 11-14 homemade meals per week were 13% lower risk of developing type 2 diabetes compared to people who ate less than 6 homemade meals or dinners a week.
According to the results of the studies, home meals consumption was associated with less weight gain over the course of years. While, as emphasized by the scientists accumulated data of other studies have shown that eating meals outside the home is associated with lower diet quality and higher body weight in children and adolescents. Although researchers do not mention a specific number of home meals you should consume each week, study author, Geng Zong observed that "as many are homemade meals the better."
