Οι ομοσπονδιακές αστυνομικές αρχές της Γερμανίας ανακοίνωσαν ότι 2.200 άνθρωποι που ζητούν άσυλο στη χώρα έφτασαν μέσα σε 24 ώρες στη Βαυαρία, περνώντας τα σύνορα με την Αυστρία. Ο αριθμός αυτός αποτελεί ρεκόρ όλων των εποχών για τη συγκεκριμένη περιοχή.

Είναι «ο μεγαλύτερος αριθμός» μεταναστών που έχει καταγραφεί μέσα σε μια ημέρα από την έναρξη της μεταναστευτικής κρίσης με την οποία βρίσκεται αντιμέτωπη η Ευρώπη, διευκρίνισε ένας εκπρόσωπος των αστυνομικών αρχών.

Η αστυνομία του Μονάχου, η αρμοδιότητα της οποίας εκτείνεται από τη βαυαρική πρωτεύουσα μέχρι τα σύνορα με την Αυστρία, κατέγραψε τους 2.200 πρόσφυγες από τις 9 το πρωί της Δευτέρας μέχρι τις 9 το πρωί σήμερα.
