The Yildirim, new leader of the Turkish ruling party

The Yildirim, new leader of the Turkish ruling party

The Binali Yildirim is the new leader of the Turkish ruling Justice and Development. Elected during the current extraordinary party congress, where he was the only candidate and received a total of 1405 valid votes.

Turkish President and historic leader of the party Recep Tayyip Erdogan took over from Ahmet Davutoglu and gave Binali Yildirim. In his speech made at the conference, Yildirim promised "a new constitution for the transition to a presidential system", and mentioned several times in the name Erdogan.

Along with the new leader, the conference elected the new Central Committee, which changed about half of the members. On the whole, the Committee consists of trust Erdogan names.

President Erdogan is expected to give, perhaps tonight, Yildirim in the formation of a government mandate, although in theory the command can take any MP from the ruling party.
