Putin's telephone conversation with Merkel, Hollande and Porosenko on the crisis in Ukraine
Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation yesterday with the leaders of France, Germany and Ukraine, concerning the political settlement of the crisis in the former Soviet republic, according to an announcement from Moscow. In the telephone conversation with Chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel, French President Francois Hollande, and the President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko discussed the political process to resolve the crisis.
Putin called on the armed forces of Ukraine to end military operations in the eastern regions of the country, while essential is the direct dialogue between Kiev and separatists in Donetsk and Luhansk, concerning the implementation of the peace agreement signed in Minsk in 2015.
