The government launched a legal action against Apple, which had refused to extract data from the device and deliver a copy to the researchers or to give them their personal user code. The Apple, supported by Google and as Facebook, had refused to provide this information citing data protection, according to the Athens Press Agency.
The FBI, without disclosing the method used to unlock the iPhone San Bernardino, announced last month that it was able to unlock the device thanks to the intervention of a third party the identity of which is not established, ending in a judicial confrontation with Apple.
Apple is not planning to submit a complaint against the FBI in order to oblige it to reveal the method used, but lawyers have warned that they will ask details of the means used by researchers to obtain the data sought.
