Guatemala: Bus Fall in Canyon with at least 19 dead
At least 19 people were killed in Guatemala bus when diverted the course and fell into deep ravine of 200 meters in the western region of the country, said emergency response services.
Carlos Santiso, spokesman for the fire, said the bus had developed excessive speed when it came off the road near the city Nawal, about 160 km. West of Guatemala City.
Most of the victims were adults, among them a pregnant woman, and at least one was a minor, said Santiso a local radio station.
Twenty to 25 people have been evacuated to a nearby hospital, according to hospital spokesman Guillermo Orntonies.
