The implementation of the Common European Asylum System the EU calls
The European Commission today called on Greece, Croatia, Italy, Malta and Hungary to fully implement European law on the implementation of the Common European Asylum System.
Specifically called on Greece, Croatia and Italy to correctly implement the Eurodac Regulation, which provides for the effective taking of fingerprints of asylum applicants and transmit the data to the central Eurodac system within 72 hours. The effective implementation of the Eurodac Regulation is critical to the operation of the Dublin system and EU resettlement programs, the Commission stresses, noting that in October sent administrative letters to Greece, Croatia and Italy.
