Fidel Castro: Russia and China can avoid the possibility of a world war, but not the US
O historic leader of Cuba Fidel Castro said today estimate that China and Russia "know much better the world's problems" compared with the US and could avoid the possibility of a world war, in a letter published today in the official Cuban newspaper Granma.
The former president, now aged 89 years who retired from power in 2006, noted that "there is currently no security for anyone," and mentioned the nuclear threat.
"China and Russia know much better the problems of the World's compared with the US, as they (the two countries) suffered the terrible wars imposed by selfish and indiscriminate way fascism. I am convinced that thanks to their historic tradition and their own revolutionary experience, will make every effort to avoid a war, "wrote Fidel Castro.
