Taliban attacked a jail freeing prisoners in Afghanistan
Taliban insurgents attacked early today in a prison of Ghazni province in central Afghanistan, killing several policemen and releasing prisoners, police said. Journalist Reuters located at the point he saw the bodies of two men who seemed to be the suicide bombers and blasted a car that was apparently used to destroy the main entrance of the prison.
The Taliban spokesman Mujahid said Zampichoulach gunmen and bombers attacked the prison at 2:00 a.m. (1:00 a.m. local time) and released all prisoners. Security officials were unable to confirm how many prisoners are in prison or the death toll.
