At 13 dead from the earthquake in Chile

The earthquake and tsunami that hit the northern and central part of Chile killed 13 people, while a further six people are missing, according to newest stock of principles was published yesterday, 48 hours after the disaster that struck thousands of people.
"The number of deaths stood at 13," said Mahmoud Alegou, Deputy Interior Minister, during a press conference of the national agency contingency (ONEMI) in Santiago.
In addition six people still missing after the earthquake measuring 8.3 degrees which occurred overnight Wednesday to Thursday and the tsunami that followed. The previous official report spoke of 12 dead and five missing.
The new victim is a man's body which was discovered by police on a beach near the port city of Coquimbo, which was flooded by seismic waves after an earthquake.
