Socialists - In a declining trend the Podemos
The conservative Popular Party (PP) of the Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy increases his lead in voting intentions some months before the parliamentary elections and the formation of the radical left Podemos subsides, according to a poll released today.
The PP collects 28.2% of voters, according to the survey of the governmental Centre for Sociological Research (CIS) deepening the distance that separates it from the Socialist Party (PSOE), the traditional rival, gathering 24.9%.
The previous poll by the CIS, conducted in April, giving the PP rate of 25.6% in voting intentions and 24.3% in the PSOE.
The remaining third party Podemos in Spain, according to this poll, but does not guarantee more than 15.7% of voters compared to 16.5% in April. In January the Podemos gathered 23.9%, surpassing even the PSOE which gathered 22.2%.
Liberals of Ciudadanos, fourth political force in Spain, is also losing ground in the most recent survey of public opinion, with 11.1% in voting intentions, compared to 13.8% in April.
Unemployment remains the biggest concern of Spaniards. 78% concerned about unemployment and 43.7% for corruption and fraud. The corruption scandals that reach the whole political class, but especially the ruling party, are first subject almost daily in the media. The unemployment rate in Spain, the second highest in the European Union after that of Greece, stands at 22.37%.
The next poll of the CIS, which is a benchmark in Spain, expected to take place in October, just before the parliamentary elections, whose date has not yet been determined, but is expected to be launched by Rajoy for November.
