Moscow: We are ready to cooperate with the West

After the attacks in France, last week, the West and Russia began to approximate their positions on Syria and decided, along with their partners in the Group of Twenty (G20) at the meeting held in Turkey to intensify cooperation them against the jihadist threat.
But Russia and Iran on the one hand and the West and the Arab countries on the other, continue to argue about the political future of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
"Assad represents the interests of a significant part of the Syrian society, so it will not come to a peaceful settlement without participation," Lavrov continued.
"Unfortunately, we see once again that the willingness to cooperate in combating terrorism occurs after a tragedy.
I hope that will not wait, and new calamities and will act because terrorists do not quarrel and agree that joy together, "said the head of Russian diplomacy.
The representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Sakharov pointed out, during the regular press briefing that "time is running out" for a constructive dialogue for reconciliation in Syria.
"We say it again and again and each time I understand that time is running and, while we are losing time and human lives lost. People killed in Syria for years, as if they were second-class citizens and no one gives them meaning. But now that the misery has arrived in Europe, now we have to think about and understand what needs to be done to coordinate our actions "to be a settlement of the Syrian crisis, stressed the Sakharov.
According to the agency TASS, Lavrov will visit on November 25 Turkey to discuss Syria with the Turkish leadership.
