See, Putin announced the removal of 755 US diplomats from Russian soil

Russia's President Vladimir Putin announced today that the US diplomatic presence in Russia will be reduced by 755 workers after US Congress approves new sanctions against Moscow, saying it is expected that there will be no positive change in relations soon Between Moscow and Washington, but leaving open the possibility of further sanctions against the US.

"We were expecting enough, hoping that the situation would change for the better," the Russian leader said in an interview with the Vesti.ru television network and quotes from the Rossia 24 television network.

"But it seems, even if the situation changes, it will not be so soon," Vladimir Putin said.

The head of the Russian state has made these statements after the US Congress has adopted new sanctions against Moscow on the grounds of its alleged involvement in the US presidential election.

According to the Russian leader, 755 US diplomats will have to leave Russia. The Russian Foreign Ministry's announcement of a reduction, beginning on September 1, to 455 employees of US embassy staff and their consulates on Russian territory, had preceded Friday.

"More than 1,000 people - diplomats and technical staff - were working and working" at American diplomatic missions in Russia, Putin said.

"755 people have to stop their activities in Russia," he said.

With these cuts, the number of US diplomatic missions will now be at the same level as that of Russian diplomatic missions in the US.
