United Arab Emirates Foreign Minister (UAE) Anwar Gargas has left open the possibility of strengthening the financial sanctions applied against Qatar where this is deemed necessary.
At the same time, he stressed that Doha should make unconditional commitments to change its critics' view of the funding it offers to the extreme Islamists.
The UAE Foreign Minister also left open the possibility that sanctions against Qatar would take a form of embargo.
These statements were made, while US President Donald Trub has taken action on telephone diplomacy to resolve the crisis by talking to the Qomir Emir, Sheikh Bhim Hamad al-Thani, and the Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahayan, asking for a climate of unity in the Arab world.
However, Trabp in his interventions, stresses that any move should be made conditional on the abolition of funding for extreme extremism or the fight against terrorism. According to a White House statement
