Polls were opened for crucial parliamentary elections in Britain

Continuation of Teresa Mei's reign or revolution with Jeremy Corbin? The British vote today in the crucial parliamentary elections in view of the Brexit negotiations in a heavy climate after the two recent terrorist attacks in the country.

The polls were opened at 07:00 (local time, 09:00 GMT) and closed at 22:00 (local time, 00:00 Greek time).

Particularly stringent security measures are in place for London to allow the immediate deployment of police forces if needed, authorities said, five days after the terrorist attack in the British capital, from which eight people were killed.

After the polls are closed, the exit polls will be announced, and the final result will be known at dawn on Friday.

A total of 47 million voters are called to the polls.

Although Mao's Conservatives remain the favorite, according to polls, they have seen their difference with the Labor Party dropping more than half after the announcement of the early elections.

The impact of the recent terrorist attacks in Manchester and London is difficult to assess. Although according to polls, voters believe the Conservatives are more "robust" in security issues, they are criticized for not being able to prevent the attacks and because they have cut 20,000 jobs in the police since 2010.
