French President Emmanuel Macron has signed a presidential decree published today in the government's newspaper, which limits to ten the number of ministers' associates, and states that the appointment of the staff of the ministerial offices is made by decree after being submitted to the prime minister.
"The office of a minister may not include more than ten members. The office of a deputy minister can only include eight members. The office of a deputy minister can only include five members, "says the presidential decree bearing the signatures of the French President and Prime Minister Eduard Filipp.
"Appointments of ministers are made by ministerial decision after they have been submitted to the Prime Minister". The ministerial decision will identify the person's title and the work he is required to perform in the cabinet. "No one can work in a ministerial office unless it is the subject of a ministerial decision." Each member of a ministry must "file a declaration of assets and a statement of activities to the Highest Transparency Authority of Public Life". Finally, "no one can join the ministerial staff if they are deprived of their political rights".
