The opponent of the Kremlin Alexei Navalni and more than 100 supporters were brought today by the authorities during a demonstration against corruption involving, in response to his call, thousands of people in central Moscow.
The Navalni "was arrested in (square) Magiakofskagia" located on the route of the march, which was banned by the authorities, announced on Twitter the representative Keira Giamich.
"Everything's fine with me, not regret fighting for me," wrote the part of the Navalni on its own account, calling his supporters to continue the protest. "The issue today is the fight against corruption," he said.
Overall, the Russian police prosigage least 130 protesters, said the OVD-Info organization, specializing in monitoring demonstrations. "The arrests continue," added the NGO at Twitter.
The demonstration in Tverskaya Street, one of the main arteries of the Russian capital that leads to the Kremlin, was banned by the authorities, one decision the legality of which the Navalni contests.
According to police, gathered 7000-8000 people, making it one of the largest demonstrations that have taken place in recent years in Russia.
