What does the Trump proposal to increase defense spending

The proposal of US President Donald Trump for increasing the US defense budget of $ 603 billion, is at the center of a new political dispute between Democrats and Republicans in Washington.

Democrats argue that the proposed reduction in other expenses to cover the increase in US defense spending will affect the implementation of projects implemented within the US, such as environmental protection, and education.

According to White House officials with responsibilities for budget briefed reporters, the Trump government proposes to increase defense spending by $ 54 billion or 10%. On the other hand, this rate is within the ceiling percentage increase applied by Congress since 2011. As the White House support, the net increase in overall defense of Pentagon spending is 3% compared to the $ 584 billion allocated from the budget, until the close of the last financial year, on 30 September 2016.

In consequence, the increase in defense spending will be slightly larger than inflation of 2.5%, which are the US today.
