Putin: 'Unacceptable' sanctions against Syria


O Russian President Vladimir Putin said the digits plan submitted to the UN Council of Western forces which seek to impose sanctions on Syria, claiming that the Syrian government used chemical weapons is "unacceptable".

The draft resolution, which was drafted by France, Britain and the United States, which seek to ban the sale of helicopters to the Syrian government and put in "black list" of the governors of the Syrian army will come later today to vote Security Council.

"I think it is completely unacceptable," said Russian President during the press conference he gave in the capital of Kyrgyzstan Bishkek, after what conversations he had with his Kyrgyz counterpart Almazmpek Atampagief.

"It will undermine confidence in the peace process," said Putin, saying that "Russia will not support any further sanctions against the Syrian leadership."

The Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN Vladimir Safronkof, addressing reporters Friday, he said that Moscow would veto the Security Council regarding this draft resolution.
