Well ahead of the Social Democrat former president of the European Parliament Martin Schulz against christianodimokratissas Chancellor Angela Merkel shows poll conducted for the first public German broadcaster ARD network: 50% of voters would vote for the Social Democrat candidate and only 34% in the current Chancellor Merkel if the Chancellor elected directly by the people.
In a poll conducted by the Infratest Dimap Institute also recorded a sharp rise of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) by 8 percentage points compared to the previous month and the Social Democrats thus reach 28%, the highest proportion in the current parliamentary term. The Christian Democratic (CDU) and Christianokoinoniko (CSU) party record losses of around 3% and their share in total is reduced to 34%.
Similar trends recorded by the institute Insa poll on behalf of Stern magazine and the private RTL television network. In voting intentions Social Democrats reach 27%, one percentage point higher than it in January.
According to the poll of ARD, the parties of the Left (Die Linke) and Green (Gr? Ne) receive 8% each (ie -1% for both compared to the previous month). The extreme right-populist-anti-European party Alternative for Germany (AfD) has lost 3% and would receive 12% if you were elections next Sunday, while the Liberals (FDP) now reach 6% (+ 1%) and entered the Parliament (5% threshold).
Polls show that after the announcement of the candidacy of Martin Schulz blowing a wind of change in Germany, but a victory for the SPD in the election is anything but easy it is. Thus the ARD poll, 50% of respondents want a Social Democratic government, while only 39% is in favor of a government under Christian Democratic leadership.
