The Russian embassy in Damascus was a double bombing target in the afternoon, as announced by the Russian Foreign Ministry, calling the attack a challenge aimed at derailing the peaceful settlement of the Syrian crisis efforts.
According to the announcement, a bomb hit the inner courtyard of the building complex of the embassy in the Syrian capital, while another bomb struck near the consulate. Deminers investigate the points of attack.
