Christine Lagarde took over responsibility for all

Christine Lagarde on trial Monday in Paris to show "negligence" in the way they managed the arbitration in the dispute between the businessman Bernard Tapie and the bank Credit Lyonnais.

The 60 year old former minister side rejects that committed anything illegal when it approved the 2008 compensation to businessman Bernard Tapie, amounting to 403 mil. "The risk of fraud escaped me completely," she said.

Her voice broke for a few minutes when he said, holding a sob:

"These five days of the trial put an end to a five-year ordeal as experienced my partner, my sons, my brothers who are in the hall."

Christine Lagarde reiterated today that "acted confidently and conscientiously, with the sole aim of defending the general interest."
