Turkey: Ban concentrations in Ankara due to terrorist strikes fear
The governor of Ankara, the city found year targeted deadly terrorist attacks, today announced a ban on all public meetings in the Turkish capital because of the risk of "attacks".
In a press release published on its website, the office of the Ankara governor announced the ban "all gatherings and demonstrations items in public places such as malls, squares, streets and parks (;) to 30 November 2016".
Citing "information" which refer to 'Preparations of illegal terrorist organizations to commit attacks, "the governor points out in a statement that the ban imposed decision was taken under the state of emergency declared in July after the failed coup attempt.
Turkey, especially Ankara and Istanbul, shocked the last 12 months several attacks, linked to the resurgence of the conflict with the Kurds or attributed to the organization Islamic State.
On October 10, 2015, 103 people were killed in a bomb attack in front of a train station in Ankara, in the most deadly attack in the modern history of Turkey.
