The Socialists voted against M. Rajoy in the first vote in parliament

The Socialist Party has sent today a "warning" message to Mariano Rajoy that does not intend to guarantee the stability of the future government, after being allowed to form in order to overcome the political impasse that continues in Spain for ten months.

The Rajoy lost the first vote of confidence in parliament, but is likely to win the next, to be held Saturday to be able to form a minority government.

In today's vote he received 170 votes, six fewer than those needed. The Socialists (PSOE), the second party in power, voted against. They have however agreed to depart the Saturday vote, so that Rajoy does not need an absolute majority, as long as the vote for more MPs than those who would vote against him.

The abstention of "does not mean support" in Socialist People's Party or politics, stressed the head of the PSOE in parliament Antonio Hernandez. The Conservative government should ensure the majority "week to week, from one vote to another," he warned.
