Preparations of international forces coalition under US leadership for an isolation operation of the Islamic State in Pakala, the de facto capital of the jihadist organization in Syria, launched in parallel with the ongoing business for the recapture of the Iraqi city of Mosul by jihadists, today said US Defence Secretary Let Carter in a joint press conference with his French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drew.
"We have already begun preliminary work with our allies to begin isolating company jihadists in Pakala" said Carter, following a meeting held with counterparts from 11 countries to discuss the progress of the campaign to crush the jihadist organization.
"There will be overlap (now Mosul). This is part of our plan and we are prepared for it, "said US Treasury.
At the same time he noted that "competent and motivated" local Syrian forces will lead the attack in the city, and made it clear that Russia will not take part in the business for the recapture of the city.
