Ban Ki-moon condemned the attack on the school in the western Aleppo
The UN secretary general Ban Ki-moon today condemned the attack on a school in western Aleppo in Syria, which is under the control of government forces.
This attack, in which children were killed, "can be considered a war crime if it was intentional," stressed the official.
"The promoters of such actions must be brought to justice," he said.
Ban again asked the Security Council to refer the matter to the International Criminal Court to examine the situation in Syria.
Efforts to achieve this currently prevents Russia, which has veto power in the Council.
At least three children were killed and 14 wounded yesterday in Syria by throwing grenade against a school in Sachmpa district in western Aleppo, which controlled by government forces, Syrian media reported.
On Wednesday, the air strikes against a school in Idlib province, which is under the control of the rebels, caused the death of 22 children and 6 teachers according to the report released by the Unicef.
