Germany: Low remains the Christian Democratic party, according to a poll
Only 33% of Germans would vote for the Christian Democratic party of Chancellor Merkel if national elections were held next Sunday. This percentage has never been so low since 2012, according to the poll by Stern magazine and RTL radiotileoptikou station.
According to the results of the poll, which was conducted between August 29 and September 2 on behalf of the Institute Forsa, ie before the recent local elections in the Land Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, to party Alternative for Germany received 12% of votes. The Greens maintain their percentage, also 12%, while the Left (Die Linke) loses 1% and is thus 8%. The Liberal Party (FDP), which are not currently represented in the German parliament, will vote 7% of voters.
The negative performance of the Christian Democrat evidenced by the fact that only 24% of respondents believe that they can solve problems of Germany, 1% less than the previous poll. Little consolation for the Christian is that the social democrats trust 10%, ie just 1% more than the last survey (Stern-RTL).
As the polls of the past weeks, the discomfort for the parties are great. 56% of respondents do not trust anyone.
Despite the low rates pollster for the Christian Democrats, the negative sentiment of the week before the election in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, has not affected the Chancellor same. 44% responded that, is that 28% would vote for Merkel if direct election, while only 16% would vote for the Social Democrat Sigmar Gabriel, ie 1% lesser than the last survey (Stern-RTL) behind Chancellor.
