The Cavusoglu accuses EU that "humiliates" Turkey
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu accused the EU of "humiliating" Turkey and it made once again respect the EU-Turkey agreement on migration from the liberalization of visa regime (visas) for Turkish citizens visiting the EU .
"The Turkish people are wounded psychologically" after the attempted coup of July 15 and our European "humiliate rather than help Turkey," said Cavusoglu in statements published in today's edition of German newspaper Bild, regretting for freezing of EU-Turkey accession talks and discussions to exempt Turkish citizens from visa.
For the Turkish Foreign Minister, Ankara worked "as few countries to fulfill the conditions for EU membership", but does not take into consideration "despite threats, insults and a total exclusion" from the perspective of Twenty Eight.
"I wonder what crime we committed? Why so much animosity?" Continues Cavusoglu, who Wednesday had already accused the EU that incites anti-European feelings in Turkey "favoring" even "encouraging" the perpetrators of the coup.
He demanded again liberalization of the visa regime for Turkish citizens, which is the return on immigration EU-Turkey agreement concluded in March with the hope that the irregular sea crossings will be restrained by the Turkish authorities towards the Greek islands.
"It is clear: either apply all the agreements with either the all the set aside," said Cavusoglu in Bild, when asked about the possibility of Turkey to leave again in October hundreds of thousands of people to go to sea to reach in Europe.
