Putin, Merkel and Hollande will meet in the margins of the G20 in China in September

The leaders of Russia, Germany and France have agreed to meet to discuss the situation in Ukraine on 4 and 5 September in China, on the sidelines of the summit of the Group of 20 (G20), reported today the Kremlin.

Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande said the Kremlin, which added that Putin drew attention to the "challenges" on the part of Ukraine in the Crimea.

The Kremlin also said he expressed concern about the instability along the confrontation line in eastern Ukraine.
