Ph. Hollande: I will not step back in the reform of labor

French President Francois Hollande said today that "will not withdraw" regarding the reform for the job, despite street protests and demonstrations by the left.

"I will not step back because there were too many governments withdrew," he said in an interview on radio station Europe 1 at the start of a new action week after the call of demonstrators unions.

The law "will pass, because discussed, was being processed, corrected, amended," Mr Hollande assuring that henceforth (the law) has the support of reform union and a majority of Socialist MEPs.

"The battle (against unemployment) has not earned" and carrying through reforms in employment in order to create jobs is more important than the popularity of the president, said Hollande. "The battle will only be won when we, over several months, continued reduction of unemployment. It takes time for such reforms to take effect," he said.
