Turkey does not allow NATO ships to enter its territorial waters
The NATO warships located in the Aegean to monitor the networks of smugglers of migrants between Turkey and Greece have not yet been developed in Turkish territorial waters because Ankara has not given its approval, transmits AFP citing diplomatic sources from Brussels.
Despite requests made by the German command of NATO naval mission in the Aegean "Turkish refused" this weekend to get the ships into Turkish territorial waters, said a diplomatic source. This claim was confirmed by a second diplomat.
"The command (NATO took over last week, as the member countries have agreed on the draft for businesses of NATO ships in the Aegean) clarified little things, but not the input problem in Turkish territorial waters. From the beginning we knew that the Turks are tough and are tough "on this issue, said the diplomatic source.
