Lebanon: Three killed in explosion in Islamic home
A suspected Islamist militants and two members of his family were killed in northern Lebanon, when the suspect detonated the explosives that brought him and exploded during a raid of the army to his house, announced security sources and medical sources.
The raid was the latest in a series of raids across the country to capture jihadists, after taking over responsibility from the jihadist organization Islamic State two suicide attacks of which killed 44 people on a busy shopping center and residential area in Beirut in November .
The raid took place in Deir Ammar, northeast of Tripoli. The blast killed the wife and mother of the suspect, who was called Mohammed Hamza, according to a security source.
At least 10 more people were injured, among them four members of the security services. A security source said Hamza belonged to an organization which had declared allegiance to IK.
Court of Lebanon last week indicted against 26 people for involvement in organizing IK, 23 of which were directly related to the bombings in Beirut, whose objectives were Shiite suburb.
The civil war in Syria is expanding abroad sometimes, the smaller neighbor, with bombings against Shiite Sunni extremists, gunfire between armed supporting opposite sides in Syria, and between the army and Islamists.
The offshoot of Al Qaeda in Syria released Tuesday, the 16th members of the Lebanese security services, which are held by August 2014, after the invasion for a few days of this organization and IK in the border town of Arsal in Lebanon in exchange for release imprisoned Islamists.
