Train Derailment in Strasbourg - At least 7 dead
A non-commercial train TVG pe trial services on a new line in the north of Strasbourg derailed this afternoon in the Ekversem thereby killed at least seven people, said local authorities.
This train, which only technicians aboard, according to the National Society of French Railways (SNCF), derailed due to excessive speed.
A source adjacent to the investigations said that aboard the train 49 technicians, who did tests on the new line to be put into operation in spring 2016.
The number of casualties has not been clarified, says the Athens Press Agency.
The train came to a depth of a channel under a bridge. In the region are rushing specially trained police divers, helicopters and dozens of ambulances to assist the wounded.
