The US does not change the program host Syrian refugees
The United States have not changed their plans and are planning even accept 10,000 Syrian refugees in the country within the next year, announced Monday night the State Department, at the same time the voices multiplied, which require to be modified or even canceled the program completely.
"These refugees are subject to security checks at the highest level, more than any other traveler in the US," said foreign ministry spokesman Mark Toner at the briefing for journalists.
"We believe we can do it (pp hosting refugees) safely and in a manner that reflects American values," he added.
A little earlier, the chairman of the Internal Security Committee of the House of Representatives had asked President Barack Obama to suspend US Syrian refugee reception plan.
"The leaders of the FBI, the National Centre for Counter-Terrorism (NCTC) and the Department of Homeland Security have repeatedly stated in committee that no site have the necessary information to check thoroughly the Syrians refugees seeking to settle here," said MP Michael Makolli in a letter to President Obama, according to the television network Fox News.
