It is too early to say that today's earthquake was the main
"It's too early to say that the strong earthquake that occurred this morning in Lefkada, was the main quake," said ANA - MPA assistant professor of Geology at the University of Patras Efthymios Sokos. "We will need to spend several hours, even days, to make sure that the current vibration was the main shock," he added.
According Efthymios Sokos, the earthquake from the fault line starts from the northwest region of Lefkada and ends southwest of Kefalonia and gives powerful earthquakes, like the one that occurred in 2003.
Specifically, it said "this is a horizontal crack and we could say that it is customary to give similar earthquakes with current" to complement the phenomenon under observation.
