And Britain is planning strikes against the ISIS in Syria and Iraq
British Prime Minister David Cameron argued that the adoption by the UN Security Council resolution on action against jihadists of the Islamic State (IK) in Iraq and Syria shows that the world stands united against this "evil".
At the same time he pledged to exert pressure to ensure greater support within the British parliament to conduct attacks by the Air Force of Britain against the jihadists of IK in Iraq and Syria.
"Britain will continue to support its allies fighting against IK in Syria. I (my turn) will continue to point out that we must do more on our side and ensure support in parliament for action -which I think is necessary to take Britain to shield our own asfaleia- part of a determined international strategy, "said Cameron in a statement published by the British Foreign Office, following its unanimous adoption by the Security Council of the French plan to address the Islamic State.
"This is an important moment. Today the world is united against IK. The international community coalesced and decided to crush this evil, which threatens the people of each country and every religion, "said British Prime Minister.
As noted alongside Britain's ambassador to the United Nations, Matthew Rycroft, the attempt by Cameron to launch Britain airstrikes against Syria IK possibly boosted by the resolution of the Security Council.
"The resolution is a call for action by the Member States of the Organization that have the ability to take all the necessary measures against IR and other terrorist organizations," said Rycroft reporters.
"I believe this is a powerful part of the argument is trying to develop the Prime Minister on the terms of Britain's role in Syria and elsewhere," he said.
On Thursday, Cameron said he would present to parliament a "comprehensive strategy" to address the IK, which includes conducting air strikes of the British Air Force in Syria.
The plans for the bombing of the forces of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in 2013 were voted down by the majority of members of the British parliament.
