AFP: Gunmen are holding 170 hostages in Mali
At 7 am gunmen stormed a hotel in Bamako, capital of Mali, and is considered to hold hostage 170 people, according to Reuters cited sources of the security forces. Of these are 140 guests and 30 members of staff.
Senior security source said the gunmen entered the hotel where they opened fire and chanted "Allahu Akbar" (God is great).
The Rezidor company which owned the hotel chain said in a press release that "according to information available two perpetrators hostage 140 customers and 30 employees" .Poly early morning there was a shootout.
