Thousands flocked today the center of Ankara to commemorate the victims of the double suicide attack that occurred Saturday and resulted killed 95 protesters and to denounce as responsible government. Today's demonstration was organized by trade unions, NGOs and left or pro-Kurdish political parties. The number directly blamed on islamosyntiritiko President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, chanting slogans such as "Erdogan Assassin" and "Government resignation."
The pro-Kurdish Democracy Party People (HDP) complained that the police attacked members and leaders when he earlier tried to leave a few cloves to the point of yesterday's bombings. According to announcement, some people were injured.
The protesters gathered in the square Sichige chanted slogans against the police while the police special forces, backed vehicles that shoot water pressure, blocked a main road that leads to parliament in the capital region where many government buildings.
Meanwhile, the Turkish authorities are continuing investigations to ascertain the identities of both the perpetrators of the attack and the victims. According to the pro-government Yeni Safak newspaper one of the bombers was probably male, aged 25-30. During the night the office of Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has published the names of 52 victims. In hospitals remain 246 injured, the 48 of them hospitalized in intensive care.
The front pages of Turkish newspapers reflect the anger and sorrow for the attack: "We grieve peace" writes popular newspaper Cumhuriyet and the pro-government Star stresses that the goal of the perpetrators was "to divide the nation."
