In the minds of most the word "monks" are intertwined with the tranquility, gentleness and asceticism. But is not the case for Angkor, one wild race that scared the whole India!
The curious monks live next to points made cremations and feed on human flesh because they believe that their human meat consumption closer to spiritual enlightenment. They believe in god Shiva, who is the counterpart of Dionysus in India.
The ceremonies include drinking from human skulls and lunch with heads of live animals. The photographer observes that fail to understand their way of thinking: "There's a big mystery around them and the rest Indians fear as they believe that they can predict the future, walk into the water and loud bad prophecies."
It is noteworthy that the monks use a combination of marijuana, alcohol and meditation, which helps to reach increased awareness situation and to come closer to the god Shiva .The Angkor also believe that, by doing what others consider taboo or inhumane, they are closer to achieving spiritual enlightenment. They believe that the flesh and blood are temporary while the repulsion for material goods comes from their belief that distract them from meditation.
